Sonia Howell, a committed student at George Washington University majoring in Political Communications, harbors ambitions in the fields of broadcast journalism, podcasting, and radio. Originally from Hampton Roads, Virginia, she currently resides in Washington D.C.
Currently, Sonia is making her mark as a co-host on the radio show "Grab and Blab" at WRGW district radio. At “Grab and Glab”, She talks with her Co-Hosts about everything culturally and politically relevant. Sonia is trying to find her voice at this new endeavor and work on developing her radio skills. Additionally, she serves as a WRGW co-producer for the thought-provoking podcast "Woman vs Thoughts”. This podcast focuses on topics surrounding the struggles of black women in their 20s. She hopes to talk about the niche and difficult topic in this podcast.
Sonia's passion lies in talk radio and podcasting, and she envisions a future filled with creating impactful stories both during her university years and throughout her future career. She firmly believes in the importance of engaging in challenging conversations surrounding controversial and niche topics, viewing them as integral to our cultural discourse.
